DCC Youth Baseball
T-ball:
Deerfield Community Center (DCC) offers T-ball to youth that are in 4K or Kindergarten. It is a six-week session that meets on Tuesday evenings starting in early June from 6 to 7 PM at the Deerfield High School (behind the softball field on Quarry St.). Each team will also play at the Deerfield Days Baseball Tournament in July. Please make sure to put this on your summer schedule.*all dates subject to change based on weather and other factors.
T-ball players will be working on the basic skills: throwing, catching, fielding, running bases and batting off the tee. Players are encouraged to practice skills at home before, during and after the season is completed.
Each player will receive a DCC t-shirt and be assigned to a team.
We need volunteers to help with the season; it is an essential component of this league. Please indicate on registration form if you can volunteer as a coach or assistant coach.
Minor League:
Deerfield Community Center offers Minor League (ML) baseball to youth that are currently in grades 1 and 2. Each team will compete in six games or more and in the Deerfield Days Tournament.
Minor League players will be working on developing the basic skills: throwing, catching, fielding, running bases and hitting off the pitching machine and/or coach pitch. They will use these skills during games.
Most teams practice on Sunday late afternoon or evening. Players are encouraged to practice skills at home before, during and after the season is completed.
Each player will receive a team shirt and hat.
American League:
Deerfield Community Center is offering traveling American baseball to youth that are in grades 3rd and 4th. We may have a Spring Player Evaluation on at a date to be determined. All players and coaches should plan to attend. Coaches will be doing the evaluating. Players will need to bring a baseball glove and wear indoor athletic shoes. We will keep you informed.
Each team will compete with area teams. Games are Tues and Thurs, June through July. The start times are 5:00, 6:30, or 7:30 PM.
They will also compete in the Deerfield Days Tournament in July. Any additional tournaments a team decides to play in will be an extra fee to be announced by the coaches. It is very important for each child to make a commitment to attend each practice and game.
Practice starts Early May. Practices are determined by each coach, and they will call you with that information prior to the first practice.

They will also compete in the Deerfield Days Tournament in July. Any additional tournaments a team decides to play in will be an extra fee to be announced by the coaches. It is very important for each child to make a commitment to attend each practice and game.

Deerfield Community Center is offering traveling Teener League baseball to youth that are in grades 7th and 8th. The team will compete with area teams. Games will start in early June and end in Late July and are generally in the evening during the week. Full Practice and Game Schedules will be provided at a later date. The league playoff (format TBD) is also scheduled for late July for teams that qualify. It is very important for each child to make a commitment to attend each practice and game.
Practices will start in late April or early May based on weather conditions. Practices are determined by each coach.
Deerfield Days Baseball Tournament:

Deerfield Days is for AL and NL teams (3rd-6th Grade) and usually falls on the weekend following the 4th of July. Games are on that Friday afternoon and Saturday all day.
